About Na Liko Na’auao

Na Liko Na’auao, which began in 2002, is an undergraduate conference featuring students from across the University who deliver academic presentations showcasing their exceptional projects. Students are sponsored by a faculty member and present the results of their original work in oral and/or poster presentations before their peers, faculty, and the public. Students present work related to research in their field and creative work in the visual and performing arts. Na Liko Na’auao will begin with presentations, and will conclude with the presentation of certificates and awards.

Why Should Students Participate?

Na Liko Na’auao provides an opportunity for students to present their academic work in a formal setting, receive feedback from faculty and scholars in the field, exchange ideas with other undergraduate scholars, and build a resume. Furthermore, effective presentation skills are valuable for all future careers. Na Liko Na’auao provides an excellent public forum to practice skills, explore strengths, and identify areas for improvement. Participation is a wonderful way to share the excitement of learning and thinking with fellow students, faculty members, and staff of the public. Students who commit to Na Liko Na’auao should take this obligation seriously as a professional endeavor.

Who is Eligible to Participate?

  • All Chaminade University day undergraduate students are eligible to present if they have a faculty sponsor to mentor them through the process. Presentations may be done individually or in small groups. Categories include poster presentations, artwork, and portfolio displays. Presentation items must have been completed within the past academic year.
  • Students who have participated in a conference paid by Chaminade are required to present at Na Liko Na’auao.
